Sean Paul heats up Cayman

The temperature in Cayman will be burning on 5 November when superstar Sean Paul lights up the stage at Royal Palms.

The Jamaican dancehall superstar exploded onto the international music scene in 2002 with his breakout hit Gimme The Light and hasn’t slowed down since. His album Dutty Rock went multi-platinum and earned him a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album in 2004, but far from being done, Sean Paul’s next effort was the 2005 RIAA platinum smash The Trinity. That album led off with the Top 10 single We Be Burnin’, followed by the number 1 smash Temperature.

Now Sean Paul is stoking the flames once more with his latest album, Imperial Blaze, which was launched in 2009. Sean Paul’s albums have always delivered the kind of tracks that fill the dance floor instantly, and the live show promises to have Royal Palms jumping all night.

The Kingston-born rhyme slinger has already sold more than 10 million albums worldwide, and has become the most successful Jamaican artist of all time on the US charts – spurred by a trio of #1 pop singles, and five top ten hits. He is also the second biggest selling Jamaican artist of all time behind the legendary Bob Marley, and although the two are as different as chalk and cheese, Sean Paul knows how to get the party moving.

The gates will open at 8pm, with opening acts KK Alese and Love Culture warming up the crowd from 9pm.   WH

Tickets for the event will be on sale at all Digicel locations across Cayman.
