Margaritaville: An entertainment destination

Margaritaville opened its doors in Cayman in 2006 and has been a popular hot spot every since. Whether you are enjoying one of the nightly shows, or chowing down on the restaurant’s world famous Cheeseburger in Paradise with friends and family, you’re guaranteed a good time!

There’s a whole new entertainment destination in Cayman, which is guaranteed to keep you coming back for more.

Margaritaville in George Town now has a full roster of laugh-out-loud shows and events, along with local musicians to keep everyone entertained. There is even a new, custom built, full size stage to accommodate it all.

The week kicks off with an open mic comedy night every Monday, hosted by The Big Kahuna. On Tuesday night there’s a magic show, featuring Jose the Magician. On Wednesdays enjoy live music with local band Red, White & Blues playing a mix of Caribbean, rock, country and more. On Thursday, it’s Derek Marshall’s popular Comedy Hypnosis show and on Friday, there’s a happy hour to put everyone in the weekend mood, with drink specials and wings for only 25 cents!

The Big Kahuna has been entertaining the Cayman Islands for more than 20 years, so rest assured that Monday’s comedy night is in safe hands. He has opened for such celebrity acts as Ellen Degeneres, Carrot Top and Larry the Cable Guy.

The Big Kahuna’s comedy writing has even hit the big screen on several occasions including the blockbuster “Into the Blue” featuring Hollywood stars Paul Walker and Jessica Alba. Monday’s show time is at 8pm, all comedians get a free drink and the crowd favourite even wins a free bottle.

Jose Rafael hails from Cuba and has been performing magic ever since he was a young child. A three time national champion of Cuba, Jose wows the crowd as he seemingly makes objects appear out of thin air, demonstrates levitation and does some amazing card tricks which will take your breath away. The show starts at 8pm and there’s no need to leave the little ones at home as kids get in for free.

The Red, White & Blues band is one of Cayman’s most popular, and has been delighting locals and tourist alike with its electrifying performances for more than 10 years. A mix of classic, rock and blues, this band gets everyone on their feet, dancing the night away. The music starts at 8pm, just be sure to bring your dancing shoes.

Hypnotist Derek Marshall needs little introduction. His popular Comedy Hypnosis show has been pulling in the crowds for years here in Cayman. He has performed in the US and Canada and even headlined at the Las Vegas Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.

With a snap of the fingers, watch as audience volunteers drive race cars, dance, forget their names and even speak languages they never knew they could.  Whether you choose to see the show, or be the show, this is one laugh-out-loud show you won’t want to miss. Show time is at 8pm and doors open at 7pm.
