Cayman Scuba Mile
The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman
Red Sail Sports, Aqua Lung and Divers Alert Network have come together with the creators of the Flowers Sea Swim to launch the first Cayman Scuba Mile. The event will be held on 15 June, in tandem with the Flowers One Mile Sea Swim. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Special Olympics Cayman Islands.
The Cayman Scuba Mile is a relay race with a difference, with teams of four divers (with two support snorkellers) racing ¼ mile each on scuba. The first team across the finish line wins bragging rights for a year and a trophy to proudly display in their dive shop.
Monday, 17 June
International 5k and 10k swim
Grand Cayman Beach Suites
Entry is limited to 140 swimmers for the 5k and 40 for the 10k and registration will close as soon as the limit is reached, so if you don’t get in early, you may miss your opportunity to participate. Just as in the Flowers One Mile Sea Swim, 1 in every 5 swimmers wins a prize.
