What’s Hot This Month

Sidebar:  New Year’s Resolutions:

Sign up for a gym membership: Just do it! Anytime Fitness has personal training packages as well as reasonably priced memberships to suit anyone willing to join. They state that their monthly dues are generally less than the average monthly mobile phone bill. The very large World Gym has cardio equipment, CrossFit, free weights and machines and group exercise classes. Even for those who live out in Savannah, Universal Fitness is small but has amazing amounts of equipment, and they offer a wide variety of pricing options from daily to yearly. Classes are also included in price of membership.

Visit the Brooklyn: Experience Italian- American favorites while in the quirky and creative setting of The Brooklyn. When stepping into The Brooklyn, the newest eatery on island, you are transported into an urban setting where the chic décor matches the groovy and flavor-packed menu. The Brooklyn is the ideal spot for a family meal, business lunch or date night, with guests tempted by a range of brick-oven pizzas made in front of their eyes. Enjoy their Italian-American comfort food and an extensive wine list this month.

Go to a culinary event: The chefs of the Cayman Islands are quickly becoming known as some of the best in the Caribbean, always cooking up something new for hungry islanders and tourists alike. From Jan. 14 to 17, chef Eric Ripert will bring back the Cayman Cookout. The weekend will be a celebration of the food, wine and the natural beauty of the Caribbean with world famous chefs, all held at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman resort. The 28th Annual Taste of Cayman Food & Wine Festival will also be held on Jan. 23 at Festival Green, Camana Bay, and this year it’s going to be even bigger and tastier than ever!

Maeve music: Our very own Arianna Broderick performed at many venues last year such as the Marriott’s Anchor & Den, Hard Rock Café and Camana Bay, and she has even released a new single ‘Earthquakes’ which has been featured on many local stations. We are expecting (and hoping) to see her performing around the island in the New Year.
Who knows? This could be our last chance before she hits the big time and starts her tour on the international stage!
Check her out on Facebook and give her a like at: facebook.com/maevemusic.
