furThe Furball is back and it is bigger than ever! The Cayman Islands Humane Society will be hosting a 1950s-themed Furball gala on Saturday, March 5, at the Marriott Beach Resort ballroom from 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

This event promises to take you back to the fun era of the ‘50s, with fantastic music and entertainment provided by the Cayman Music Collective, a three-course meal, welcome drink and wine, as well as lots of amazing auction and raffle prizes from companies such as Cayman Airways, Mise En Place, The Westin, The Marriott, Luca, Ragazzi and many more.

The main live auction prize is a commissioned pet portrait by world renowned artist Robert James Clarke (www.robertjamesclarkeart.com). Robert’s paintings are coveted the world over and he has been commissioned by many well-known celebrities to paint portraits of their pets. Robert will be attending the event to meet the winning bidder and he will also be donating 20 percent of all commissions he gets from clients in the Cayman Islands to the shelter.

As well as attending events such as the Furball there are many other ways that you can support the shelter such as adopting, fostering and volunteering.
