Makeup ran the gamut from a minimalistic nude look, to gothic lips and bright eyeshadow. Hairstyles and hair colors favored twin plaits, soft curls, and bleached blonde locks. Kim Kardashian at Yeezy certainly made an entrance with a full head of platinum blonde hair, which no doubt will become a hot trend leading into the spring season.

Rihanna’s Fenty collection for Puma
Rihanna partnered with Puma as its creative director in 2014 and launched her spring Fenty, high-fashion sportswear collection at New York Fashion Week. Makeup was gothic and stark, with very dark lips.

Marchesa
Marchesa’s ultra-feminine, flowing dresses were matched with softly colored lips and tinted cheeks, creating a glamorous, ethereal look.

Jeremy Scott
For one of the most vibrant collections seen on the runway, Jeremy Scott opted for retro hairstyles with candy colored clothing. Bubblegum pink lipstick with blue eyeliner across the upper eyelid and star-shaped appliques simply emphasized his pop art palette.

Oscar de la Renta
The famed designer let the clothes speak for themselves with models wearing minimal makeup, save lightly glossy lips and black winged eyeliner.

Thom Browne
Like any Browne show, there was some wonderfully whimsical headgear, in this case repurposed neckties. Men’s ties were refashioned into tiny sculptures — much like fascinators — looping in different ways around the head. Focus was on the eyes, which were completely surrounded by blue eyeshadow.
