One of the many things you can say about Camana Bay is that it’s a one-stop shop for food, drink, shopping and entertainment. You really could spend a whole day there and not get bored.
Going out for dinner and a movie is the eternal perfect night on the town; and guess what? You can eat first and see the film second, or the other way around! How incredibly flexible and convenient is that?
Our personal recommendation is to do the dinner first, lest you be weakened by the siren song of popcorn, hot dogs and soda containers with the same liquid capacity as your average car radiator.
Camana Bay has many restaurants to choose from. You’ve got your oriental food at Mizu; New York fare at Brooklyn; Mediterranean cuisine at Abacus; casual tapas and the like at Karoo; bistro dishes at Lola Bistro; Caribbean delights at Ortanique and comfort food at Waterfront.
Buy your tickets in advance at the Regal Camana Bay box office, or online, so you don’t have to line up after your meal.
There are lots of great films coming up in May. The newest Captain America and X-Men flicks will be in the theaters, joined by the much anticipated Angry Birds animated movie and the sequel to Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland.
A special monthly event to also consider adding to your dinner-and-a-movie roster is the Culture at the Cinema night. Once a month, UK National Theatre productions are shown on the big screen. What are the perks? Great performances and a bar right outside your theater.
Even if you skip the dinner part, you can head to one of the bars at Camana Bay after the movie to chat through a postmortem as you relax with a glass of wine, beer or a handcrafted cocktail.
