Owner of CrossFit Seven Mile
What drives you to do your best every day?
I would have to say that I just have something inside me that makes me want to do well and succeed.
Has anyone in particular in your life influenced and inspired you to succeed?
My volleyball coach I had in grade school and university, Sue Stevenson. She instilled a lot of things in me from an early age.
What made you choose your particular career?
I’ve always had a passion for fitness.
What goals do you have in the future?
First, be a good role model to my daughter. Second, to be able to connect with the other moms out there that may be struggling. As a mom your priorities are all about your child and you forget about yourself sometimes.
What is one thing you would like to see change in your industry?
All the nonsense infomercials!! I’m just gonna say it guys – you cannot get abs in 6 minutes!
What would you say to younger people interested in your line of work and about being a leader?
It is such a great profession to be in, as helping people reach their goals is a pretty rewarding job. And if you really want to be a good leader, don’t ever stop learning!
