March is the month when most Irish pubs go green. Why? For St. Patrick’s Day, of course. Whiskey Mist is no exception and will be celebrating along with other pubs around the globe. However, the newest brew it carries is decidedly darker than that familiar shamrock green, and it is courtesy of the Cayman Islands Brewery.
Whiskey Mist is under new management, which means some changes for the better. For starters, live music is back in earnest. Every Mon-Sat, patrons can enjoy the melodic sounds of a solo artist from 6-9 p.m. just as they would expect to find in an Emerald Isle pub. On Fridays and Saturdays, a full band takes over from 9 p.m.-midnight, encouraging singalongs and dancing.
Wannabe musicians can also try their hand on stage on Open Mic Thursday to see if they’ve got what it takes.
So, what is Whiskey Mist planning on St. Patrick’s? There will be Cayman Islands Brewery specials, and anyone who buys a bucket of brewery beer will be entered for a prize draw. They could win a keg party all their own, which also leads to winning friends they never knew they had before. There will be live music all day and although there is no kitchen on the premises, punters are perfectly welcome to bring their own food in. With three restaurants next door, they won’t have to wander far to get it.
There is a lot of buzz about the Cayman Islands Brewery’s latest addition to its family of beers – Nitro Stout. This nitrogenized stout emphasizes the chocolate and sweet notes from the darker kilned malts. Its beautiful, creamy and cascading body is mesmerizing to the eye, with an unbelievably smooth drinking experience and a head that will lace your glass to the last sip. This nitrogen-infused beer makes for a smooth, delicious and deceptively easy pint to drink.
Whiskey Mist is now carrying Nitro Stout on draft to give it that creamy head you’ve been craving. Get yourself to the Strand and try a pint or two tonight!
