The Cayman Islands Humane Society has been dedicated to rescuing local cats and dogs and finding them forever homes for over four decades. Each year, the society holds its largest annual fundraising gala, The Furball, which is the main source of charitable donations for the year.
The gala is always an event to remember and this year the society is taking it up a notch. On April 28 at The Grand Cayman Marriott Resort, expect a night full of mystery and intrigue as you are taken into a cirque-filled world of joy and entertainment.
This year’s Cirque theme will create an ambiance of magic and allure, with a fresh take on the typical gala setup. Instead of a sit-down dinner full of speeches and presentations, think of an evening with live food stations, acrobatic entertainment and games galore. It is a night to mingle, play and laugh as you help raise funds for the furry little friends at the shelter.
There are many ways to make a difference for the animals, but this event is definitely the most fun.
There will be spectacular food prepared live by the Marriott’s gifted chefs, cocktails masterfully prepared by the Jacques Scott family and entertainment by the one and only Quinntessential Movement and DJ Cardiac of Productions of Paradise as well as much, much more.
Cayman Islands Humane Society
The Cayman Island Humane Society is 100 percent run by volunteers and donations, which are both desperately needed in order to keep the shelter running.
On average, a total of $60,000 a month is required to cover bills and all other expenses. Vet bills alone are astronomical and are one of the many reasons the shelter needs as much support as possible.
All of the proceeds from the gala go towards the shelter and make a huge impact on an animal’s life and well-being. If you are unable to attend the event, you can visit the society’s Facebook page, check out the website caymanislandshumanesociety.com or contact the shelter directly to find out all the ways you can donate to the shelter or volunteer to support this amazing cause.
Tickets for the Furball are $175 and can be bought directly at the Cayman Islands Humane Society or reserved via email at [email protected].
