Music on the menu: A sumptuous feast

Music is definitely on the menu at LUCA restaurant on Thursday, 23 May. Internationally renowned singer Georgina Gatto will be performing, accompanied by Glen Inanga. It promises to be a fabulous evening, and one that all music lovers should attend.

Soprano Georgina Gatto, a luminescent, beautiful, and wonderfully talented singer with an elegant and dramatic stage presence, is known for her extraordinary breadth of musical repertoire and composers, ranging from classical to contemporary, from European to American, from “bel canto” to Broadway.

She currently resides in the Cayman Islands but continues her vocal coaching with Ms. Claudia Pinza of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the daughter of famed twentieth-century opera singer, Ezio Pinza, best known for his performance in the film “South Pacific”.

At the same time she continues to perform in recitals in the United States and in Europe, accompanied by Ms. Judith Gabos of Eger, Hungary. She has been the recipient of numerous scholarships for both her linguistic and musical talents. In 2007 she performed in Oderzo, Italy, to great acclaim under the auspices of the Ezio Pinza Council for American Singers of Opera.

Her debut in the Cayman Islands was at the Harquail Theater on 2 June, 2012. Ms. Gatto performed with concert pianist Judit Gabos and the Swanky Band in “Summer Serenade”as a Humane Society Benefit concert.

This musical evening  begins at 6.30pm with a welcome drink and canapés, followed by the 7.30pm recital and a three-course dinner with wine.
