Volunteer work: Can you help?

An admirable way to spend some of your free time this summer, and hopefully through the year, is to volunteer for one of the many organisations on the island looking for assistance. There are charities that could always use some extra hands, and just think of how great you’ll feel, knowing that you’re helping others!

Here are just a few of the groups that need volunteers:

CONCACAF volunteers:
In hosting the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football Under-15 Boys’ Development Tournament, 13-25 August, the CI Football Association appeals to all persons interested in volunteering as liaison officers, sales clerks, administrative assistants, hosts and hostesses, translators and medical personnel, among other roles, to email [email protected], call 949-5775, or visit the CIFA office at Poindexter Road, Prospect (near Prospect Primary School).

The National Council of Voluntary Organisations seeks volunteers, both groups and individuals, willing to help paint, clean and clear in August. Projects needing attention include the nursery, preschool, foster home, playground and bargain shop. Please contact [email protected]

Book Loft:
Needs volunteers for front desk a few hours per week. Contact [email protected] or 946-8053.

New To You bargain shop:

Cayman Islands Humane Society:
