Any time we arrange a cover shoot, we have some amazing contributors who are insanely talented. And guess what? They are all living and working on this island!

From professional fashion photographer Cortez Vernon to hair gurus Rock Gorgeous Hair and makeup master, Stephanie Ford, you’ll find all the expert talent you need in Cayman to make you feel beautiful.

Here’s how we got the cover look.

Rock Gorgeous Hair! – Hair

Francis Omar, co-owner of Rock Gorgeous Hair took on model Paris Broad’s locks.

“I used a one-inch curling iron with Oribe Soft Lacquer Heat Styling Spray in every curl for anti-humidity and to seal the soft waves,” he says. “Then I tucked the soft side back with Oribe Maximista Thickening Spray and brushed smooth for an exaggerated part.”

He finished off the look with Oribe Soft Spray and Dry Texture to break up the curls once they were dropped.

Stephanie Ford Makeup – Makeup

“I prepped Pariss’ skin with Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream and Marc Jacobs Dew Drops for added luminosity to the skin,” says Stephanie Ford. “A thin layer of Marc Jacobs Shameless Youthful-Look foundation was used to even her skin tone, and to conceal blemishes, I went in with the NARS Soft Matte Concealer.

“Laura Mercier’s loose powder was used to set the under eye, forehead and slightly around the mouth and nose. Skin was slightly bronzed using Marc Jacobs O!Mega Bronzer.

“To set the highlight, I used the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal and Topaz.”
Once Paris’s skin was prepped, Stephanie moved on to the eyes and lips.

“I used Tom Ford Golden Mink and Natasha Denona eyeshadow palettes to get the golden hues on the eyes and added depth using the bronzer for the face. Adding Ardell’s lashes and a few layers of mascara took Paris’ look to the next level,” she says.

“For the lips, I used Tom Ford lipstick in Sable Smoke.”
