The Royal Wedding of Prince Harry (Henry Charles Albert David of Wales) and actress Rachel Meghan Markle is one of the most anticipated events of this year. With just a few weeks to go until the big day finally arrives, Kensington Palace has officially confirmed that the wedding will take place at noon on May 19 at Saint George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
The popular couple will take their vows before their families, friends, and millions watching around the world. Fans living in the U.S. and Cayman will have to set their clocks pretty early, due to the time change, or set the TV channel to record.
The service will begin at noon sharp (Greenwich Mean Time), although crowds of people can be expected to line the streets in the early hours of the morning to catch a glimpse of the bride and groom as they arrive. Several hours of TV coverage will precede the arrival of the royal couple throughout the morning, which will be broadcasted live on international networks.
Here in Cayman, you should be able to catch the wedding on BBC World, BBC America and Sky News as it takes place, and broadcasters are also expected to offer live coverage of the day’s events on mobile devices and online.
