Take a picture from scratch or scroll through existing images on your device and spruce them up with the Christmas Booth. You can add stickers like a snowman’s nose or a festive hat, then share the pictures with friends and family via email or social media. The options are many and varied and the app is free. You just pay $0.99 per extra sticker set if you really want to expand your portfolio.

Grinch app iconHow the Grinch Stole Christmas

With the latest animated version of this timeless Dr. Seuss tale on the big screen, it is high time to remind ourselves of the story that started it all. The How the Grinch Stole Christmas app is an excellent interactive book for children. At only $4, it has them following the Grinch as he does his level best to keep Christmas at bay. Tap on pictures for new words, listen to the narration and hark at the different sound effects.

ElfYourself app iconElfYourself

Yes, this app has been around for a while, but it never gets old and it brings the laughs each and every Christmas. Simply add your face and the faces of others in your social crowd or family, wind it up and let it go! The app will have you dancing as elves through all kinds of scenarios which looks both ridiculous and hilarious at the same time. The app is free to download, but if you feel that your dancing skills extend past its default boogie, you can pay $0.99 for other genres of music.

Message from Santa app iconMessage from Santa!

We were a bit skeptical about this one, but once we tried it, we had to agree that it was pretty effective. Give the app as much information as you can then choose the reason for the call (there are many, including warnings about the Naughty List). Santa will then call at the scheduled time and use the info you entered to make it sound very personalized. All children will love this app and if they are misbehaving, Santa may just be the ally you need.
