Every year, the Chamber of Commerce hosts a Career, Education & Training Expo that unites talent with opportunity.

The networking event gives students a chance to meet potential employers and find out information about scholarships, internships, training and employment. The public is also invited to attend.

This year’s expo takes place on Friday, Feb. 8 at the University College of the Cayman Islands. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Sir Vassel Johnson Hall.

Representatives from businesses, educational institutions and government departments will be on hand to answer questions and talk about career and education opportunities.

Many of the Cayman Islands’ top employers from a variety of industries plan to attend, with more than 30 participants slated to set up booths. Among the sectors taking part are financial services, tourism, healthcare, construction, publishing, technology and insurance.

Participants include The Water Authority – Cayman, which sponsors an annual $30,000 scholarship; the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, which offers a scholarship jointly with Johnson & Wales University, along with a paid internship; and Health City Cayman Islands, which offers a variety of education programs.
