The Pink Ladies celebrate International Women’s Day with a fab fashion show and fundraiser on March 9.
Collaborating in the event will be some of the charities that they support.
Clothes will be included from the Humane Society’s Thrift Shop private designer collection, which have been saved for special occasions like this.
“This is an opportunity to showcase and sell high-end labels from designers such as Stella McCartney, Michael Kors, Karen Stevens, BCBG and Free People as well as men’s items from Ralph Lauren and Robert Graham,” says Jacki Ebanks, the thrift store manager.
A Stella McCartney dress, worth around $3,000, will be auctioned on the evening. There will also be four large racks of clothes for sale and there will be a silent auction of the outfits modeled at the event. which is taking place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Local designers Gabs & Gabs and jewelry maker Maureen Collins will have their creations for sale as well.
Local models will walk the runway, representing all sizes and shapes. With the aim of making it an inclusive event, the Pink Ladies have also invited special needs children from across the island to be on the catwalk, too.
Models will get the opportunity to have their hair done on the day by Focus Hair & Beauty and Rock Gorgeous Hair.
A special modeling session will be hosted by none other than former Ford model Christel Ibsen, who will demonstrate the ropes of the runway.
Where is that runway, you ask? It is located in a stunning private home in West Bay, overlooking the sea. Who needs Milan with such a property available?
Tickets are limited to 100 people at $75 each, which include hors d’oeuvres and beverages. They are available from Focus Hair & Beauty Salon, Marquee Plaza and online at [email protected]
