Fashions by La Boutique at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman
Twin sisters Javiera and Maria Aguayo along with their younger sibling Antonia Aguayo, all from the Cayman Islands, were the models for this month’s What’s Hot cover fashion shoot.
The elder girls, 28, work at EFG Bank and accounting firm BDO Cayman Ltd. respectively, while Antonia, 24, is an employee at PwC.
“We really enjoyed modeling the different pieces of clothing, they were gorgeous.” says Javiera. “The vibrant colors really brought life to the shoot.”
Clothing for the occasion was provided by La Boutique at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, which specializes in luxury resort wear, jewelry and fine accessories.
Open Daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., the store stocks apparel from top designers including Trina Turk, Taj, Bailey 44, Lilly Pulitzer, Bugatchi and Robert Graham.
The girls had their long flowing tresses styled at Glamorous Hair Salon at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, which caters for special events.
Stylist Natasa Vulovic gave each sister natural waves and ensured their locks were shining for the shoot.
The salon has massaging shampoo beds, so while having your hair washed you receive a full body and scalp massage. Opening times are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the weekend, with advance bookings recommended.
Make-up for the photoshoot was courtesy of M.A.C. Cosmetic Boutique on Cardinall Avenue in George Town, giving Javiera, Maria and Antonia a pretty, neutral look for the photographs.
Make-up artists Lisa Evans, Alecha Shaw and Kayci McCarter provided their services, using all M.A.C. cosmetics.
The store is known for make-up for special occasions such as galas, weddings, carnival and Halloween, and offers special-effect artistry, catering for walk-in clients as well as appointments.
At least 6 to 10 times a year, the M.A.C. store holds make-up master classes, when customers can learn about techniques and trends.
