Live music
Just because Margaritaville Resort is known for Jimmy Buffett, doesn’t mean it is just his music piping through the speakers 24/7. On Friday nights, from 7-10pm, take a magical mystery tour with Deja Blu band. The diverse group covers a great selection of hits from back in the day, with some Top 40 sprinkled in for good measure.

Expect to hear tunes from Queen, The Beatles, Bob Marley, Johnny Cash, Bruno Mars and yes, Jimmy Buffett, as you sip upon your margarita or other tipple at the bar. Lots of lounge seating available as well. No cover, just great vibes.

Before you pick up the phone to call your grandmother, hear us out. Bingo is back in a big way, particularly when it is of the Rock ‘N’ Roll variety at Salty’s in Grand Harbour. Every Thursday night, starting at 8pm, Dr. Doug (disclaimer: not a genuine medical certification) from BOB.FM radio station takes to the microphone to entertain the crowd and lead them through a card of musical hits. Great prizes including a $25 bar tab and $50 cash are up for grabs. Southern Comfort and Corona drink specials on tap.

When did you last hit the dance floor until the wee hours? Obar in Queen’s Court Plaza has the excuse you need to strap on your shoes and get jiggy with it.

Every Friday through summer it is Rumba! night, featuring Cayman’s fi nest Latin and special guest DJs. Ladies are free until 12:30am and $10 after, while men pay $10 entrance from open to close. You can party until 4am, just in time to get outside and watch the sunrise before collapsing into bed. Keep water and aspirin close at hand for that 1pm rise-and-shine.

Happy Hour
Fidel Murphy’s Pub is the place to which all who hail from across the pond gravitate. With roast dinner on Sundays and the footie or rugby on the tellies throughout the week, not to mention all-day brekkie and fish & chips on the menu, Fidel’s is your quintessential public house. Start the weekend off with great happy hour prices all night on Fridays. That’s right! From 4pm to close! Mixed drinks are $4, Caybrew is $5 and glasses of wine are $6 a pop. Stick around for the karaoke, starting at 9:30pm. You’ll be in fine voice by then.
