The sash has barely settled on the new Miss Cayman Islands Universe, Kadejah Bodden, and now it is time for  the Miss World Cayman Islands Pageant.

The pageant will be held at the Harquail Theatre with cocktails from 6-7pm.

The competition starts immediately afterwards.

To whom will Kelsie Woodman-Bodden, the reigning Miss World Cayman Islands, pass her crown? We’ll just  have to wait and see. Tickets are $60 and can be bought at eventpro.ky.

Dancehall was made famous by names like Beenie Man, Bounty Killer and Lady Saw mixing it with international hitmakers.

Then you’ve got your Afrobeats, created by artists such as Davido, Wizkid and Burna Boy. Bring them together  for a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup of pure musical ecstasy.

Carib Café, RoadmanRich and DJ Ryan invite you for a night of Dancehall and Afrobeats, starting at 7pm with happy hour from 7-8pm. Ladies free all night.

Men are $10 after 8pm.

11 SEPT.

Release your inner god or goddess at Central Terrace on a night that celebrates art, music, cocktails and food in a thoroughly bohemian atmosphere.

Music is provided by DJ Cheriana while Carlos V. Garcia paints live and Free Spirit Connections offers intuitive counselling.

Even if you’re not in the boho mood, $5 martinis, vegan pizza, sushi and a live crepes station should change that in a jiffy.

Located in Bayshore Mall, event starts at 7pm. No cover charge.

12 SEPT.

The latest musical to be tackled by the Cayman Drama Society is a doozy and judging by the hushed whispers, the stage set will be as impressive as the performances. A live orchestra brings the music to life. The show starts on 12 Sept. and runs every weekend with the final show on 5 Oct. Do not wait to get your tickets as these  productions, held at the Prospect Playhouse Theatre, always sell out.

Tickets are $30 for adults and $20 for students. Buy online at cds.ky.
